MATERIALS · A blend of Stoneware clay and porcelain which has been high fired and polished post firing for an earthy tactility invoking the sensation of comforting pebbles collected from the beach.
FORM · A wheel thrown sculptural form with playful negative space to draw the eye and cast beautiful shadows. The piece is supplied with a plate and a bag full of my favourite sand, on which you create a plinth for the sculpture to stand. This is in honour of the meditative practices of the East, much like stacking pebbles in the sand. Can also be laid flat or even placed with other forms reminiscent of a stone Cairn. The design is a nod towards the sculpture greats such as Barbara Hepworth
and further inspired by the beautiful geology that nature provides on our stunning coastline.
DETAILS · All products are handmade and so each holds subtle differences which are a reminder of their uniqueness.
